ONLINE PREWORK

Get bootcamp-ready and hit the ground running with 40 hours of essential training. No matter your previous tech knowledge (or lack of it), this module will make sure every Ironhacker is set up for success. Start prepping as soon as four weeks before the bootcamp.

- Python: get introduced to this easy-to-learn programming language commonly used to work with data.

- Descriptive Statistics: learn to summarize and detail data features.

- Inferential Statistics: make educated guesses about big groups from small samples.

- Probability: see how you can predict the odds.

- Math Foundations: tackle the essentials of Calculus, Linear Algebra and Analytic Geometry to crack complex patterns and challenges.

MODULE 1

Get a solid start in understanding:

- Data Science: unlock future predictions from heaps of data.

- SQL: master the art of tidying and managing data with ease.

- Exploratory Data Analysis: dive deep to uncover interesting patterns and insights.

- Statistical Methods: sharpen your skills to decode what the data is really saying.

- Python: level up from prework to hands-on mastery with Python's practical features.

MODULE 2

Learn how to create your own AI models! 

Dive into machine learning fundamentals like:

- Probability and Statistics: amp up your prework knowledge.

- Supervised Learning: teach computers with clear examples.

- Unsupervised Learning: let computers uncover patterns on its own.

Explore advanced topics:

- Neural Networks: brain-like tech for smart pattern recognition (hello, face unlock!).

- Deep Learning: Next-level neural networks (think Siri smart).

MODULE 3

Get introduced to specialized areas of data science:

- Computer Vision: guide computers to recognize and understand images.

- Natural Language Processing: enable computers to understand and use human language.

- MLOps: manage AI projects smoothly and effectively, leveraging big cloud platforms like Google Cloud or Amazon Web Services to store and handle data on the internet. 

Disclaimer: Course topics are subject to change according to the demands of the job market. We aim to design our curriculum to meet the required skills for junior positions in the tech market. Students who do not complete the activities and final project do not earn a certificate.

AI is the bigger concept of machines being able to carry tasks in a smart way.

Machine Learning is one of several ways to make AI happen. It's specifically about giving machines data and letting them learn on their own.

So if building your own AI models is your thing or managing complex AI projects, then Data Science & Machine Learning is the right place for you.

1. Fill out our easy non-committal Application Form.

2. Receive a call from Admissions, to find out if your motivations, long term goals, availability, and determination are a good fit for the bootcamp. It's also a chance for you to get your burning questions answered! 

3. Take a technical test in English to test your basic logic skills. This will also give you a basic understanding of the concepts you'll learn in your chosen track. No need to prepare—just make sure you have enough time to take the test uninterrupted. Once you have passed this test, our Admissions team will be in touch with you.

4. Choose how to fund your bootcamp from our selection of Financing Options and flexible payment plans. Consult your Admissions Manager if you're not sure which one is right for you.

5. Pay your deposit before the bootcamp starts to confirm your place.

Every Ironhacker needs their own computer, but you don't need the latest iMac to get the job done!

For our Data Science & Machine Learning Bootcamp, you'll need:

-Processor: A modern multi-core CPU (e.g., Intel i5 or higher, AMD Ryzen 5 or higher).

-RAM: At least 8GB (16GB or more is preferable for larger machine learning projects).

-Storage: A solid-state drive (SSD) with a adequate storage. We recommend a minimum of 50GB but 256GB for faster data access.

-GPU: Since you'll be using TensorFlow, if your computer is GPU-enabled, NVIDIA recommends GPUs with CUDA support. The specific CUDA architecture compatibility will depend on your deep learning models and libraries. It's advisable to have a GPU with CUDA 7.0 or higher.

Note: If you're using a device that doesn't belong to you (e.g., a company computer), you'll need to be granted full admin rights.

Ironhack provides a private certificate that proves that the program was completed. The bootcamps are not recognized by the traditional standards of the Education administration. Due to its intensive and hands-on format, it wouldn't be possible to adapt the content and schedules to the official requirements. However, for some campuses you can get public financing to study with us.

There are no knowledge requirements for our bootcamps. As long as you have sufficient proficiency in English, basic logical skills, enough time, and most importantly motivation, you're fit for a bootcamp. Each bootcamp has students from different backgrounds so if you're starting from scratch with your tech knowledge, you're not alone. The Prework ensures that everyone has the same solid foundation to succeed in the bootcamp.
