[Pre work]
Python, SQL & Cloud Foundations
Before the bootcamp kicks off, you’ll complete a self-paced pre-work module designed to build your foundation in Python, SQL, and data handling, alongside Git version control and core cloud concepts. You’ll practice coding, manipulating data with Pandas, running SQL queries, and understanding modern data workflows.
[Module 1]
Programming & Data Modeling
Start by building the essential programming and data architecture skills. You’ll learn Python for data handling, master Pandas and NumPy for transformation, and take your SQL to the next level. Dive into data modeling, designing schemas and databases to understanding how data lakes and warehouses work together.
[Module 2]
Designing Data Pipelines & Big Data Systems
Build and automate data pipelines using Airflow and dbt. You’ll schedule transformations, track data lineage, and test workflows end-to-end. Explore big data with Apache Spark, optimize PySpark transformations, explore lazy execution, and tune performance for distributed workloads.
[Module 3]
Cloud & Real-Time Data Engineering
Learn to build and manage warehouses using Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift, automate infrastructure with Terraform and Docker, and design cost-efficient multi-cloud solutions.
[Module 4]
Ensuring Data Reliability & Governance
You’ll focus on reliability, transparency, and impact. You’ll test and validate data quality using Great Expectations, track lineage with dbt, and apply governance best practices for privacy and compliance.
[Module 5]
Capstone Project
By the end of the Bootcamp, you’ll complete production-grade capstone projects simulating real-world enterprise systems. You’ll design, build, and deploy pipelines that integrate real-time streaming, governance, and analytics visualization.

Which bootcamp should I choose: Data Science and Machine Learning or Data Analytics?
Take our Data Science and Machine Learning Bootcamp to dive into the technical side of data, focusing on programming and developing new technologies like your own ChatGPT. Or, choose our Data Analytics Bootcamp if you prefer making sense of data, creating visuals, and providing insights to improve business decisions. Can't decide? Our admissions team is here to help you find the right path.
Do I need my own laptop?
For our Data Science & Machine Learning Bootcamp, you'll need:
Processor: A modern multi-core CPU (e.g., Intel i5 or higher, AMD Ryzen 5 or higher).
RAM: At least 8GB (16GB or more is preferable for larger machine learning projects).
Storage: A solid-state drive (SSD). We recommend a minimum of 50GB but 256GB for faster data access.
GPU: Since you'll be using TensorFlow, if your computer is GPU-enabled, NVIDIA recommends GPUs with CUDA support. The specific CUDA architecture compatibility will depend on your deep learning models and libraries. It's advisable to have a GPU with CUDA 7.0 or higher.
Note: If you're using a device that doesn't belong to you (e.g., a company computer), ensure you have full admin rights.
Will I get an official certificate after completion of the program?
Ironhack provides a private certificate that proves the program was completed. The bootcamps are not recognized by the traditional standards of the Education administration. Due to its intensive and hands-on format, it wouldn't be possible to adapt the content and schedules to the official requirements. However, many companies recognize Ironhack for the quality of its education and the potential of our alumni.
